    OFV - I left early

I left at the 1:36 mark of the fourth quarter. That's right, I left. What's more? You owe me a "thank you". Last time I bailed on a early season Bills game was during Kelly's come back game versus Miami (week 1 1989). I had already dealt with the Bills losing for most of my ...

I will never understand leaving early unless it's an emergency, sick child, etc. Just leaving early to beat traffic is lame. You spend a hundred bucks or more to attend a game and not watch the end? There are seven games a year to attend, is that extra 7 hours really going to make a difference? Dedicate your Sunday to the game, tell your wife to handle the kids or she can move the hell out.

There was no way I was leaving that game early. I get to see a game at the Ralph about once every five years. Not happening. One of the best sports memories of the 21st Century as a result.

That said, you were the one that missed out because of your decision, so the consequence has been delivered.

That's a hard decision to make sometimes, I've never done it, but I really never thought bad of the people that do. Some people drive hours and hours to go to the game and leaving a little earlier could mean the difference of adding another hour or two because of the traffic, which could make a long 5-6 hour drive an even longer 7-8 hour drive.

Of course you have the comeback game against Houston, where all 350,000 fans stayed the whole game.

I turned the game off prematurely too, but, I had good justification for doing so - Indian buffet - lamb curry, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, I rest my case, and it was less than $10 including a drink...

I say this all the time. Plus all those dingbats leaving to "beat the traffic" are the ones who create the traffic and end up waiting for an hour to get out anyways.

So stay till the clock hits zero, go back to the lots and hang out for an hour.
