    Starting to get a feeling...

... Look for Fred Jackson as a surprise non-Bill before season start. Just a hunch.

I sure don't see it. Sort of see him being the very last Bill playing a dollar a game and one legging it into people heavily.

Fred Jackson is Bills royalty at this point. Unless there is some injury that we don't know about he gets a roster spot based on past performance alone.

Yeah, that would be the ultimate stunner at this point.

Although, I would not be stunned if this turned out to be his final season. I hope he has one more magical, "I'm going to prove everyone wrong" season left in him. He's an old-style football player in the new world NFL.

I went down this road last year and ended up being wrong.

To me the real difference would be adding Dixon and especially Brown. It could be a numbers game.

But, the team love Freddy and he's earned the right to end his career as a Bill.

I don't see it either for as much as I see his production declining this season.

The team has gotten more out of him for the money that they've paid him than any other player in Bills' history.

He was a better RB than Lynch but because Lynch was a 1st-rounder he got all the carries while the better RB sat. FJ's a better receiving option too.

Then came Spiller and Jackson suffered then too for the same reasons despite Spiller sucking in his first two seasons.

The team owes Jackson. I'm not much for paying players "after," but Jackson deserves it.

Having said that, he'll have to know when to quit graciously.

It's a protection mechanism.

You shroud your childish approach in a vale of pompous, intellectual garbage in an attempt to look smart and "real". Of course, the criticisms are obviously from someone who has no understanding of the team concept or what it takes to excel at athletics.

The true "realist" understands that they have no control of what happens on the field or behind the closed doors at One Bills' Drive, so they do the prudent thing for a spectator. They enjoy the games on Sunday with family and friends, cheer for their team and realize that it's just entertainment.

"We are committed. I want you to believe me when I say that," Whaley said of building around the second-year quarterback, per The Buffalo News. "I always tell you guys that I'll never say never because I don't want to paint myself in a corner, but when I do say something, I do it and I mean it and I try to fulfill it."

"We believe the addition of Sammy is going to be instant impact, not only to our quarterback, but to what our offensive coordinator can come up with game-plan wise and how defenses attack us," Whaley said.

No doubt FJ has been all that... But this is the point of a career where the bottom can drop out in an instant (kinda like McGee). That instant is coming IMO.

I love these posts. Does the "Fred Jackson could be cut" crowd actually watch the games? He's been the best player of the team for, like, five years.
