All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I'm Loving The Schwartz - Bills Are #1 Against The Run
Re: I'm Loving The Schwartz - Bills Are #1 Against The Run
His impact on the Detroit game is obvious. Outside of tate who's came over to the Lions this year, we got everyone covered. Sure Johnson was hampered by injury, but I see they covered him very well while he's in there and would've have good battles with 2 on 1 most of time in deep should Johnson be heathy. Reggie Bush was well contained, even in the his big play early in the game, the Bills had a defender in place to make it limited gain but got juked out of position. And obviously he knows what works against Stafford who had the worst game this season. Even on the super performance of Hughes and Dareus - I saw they made different angle and moves from the past games, obviously custom made and worked great against Detroit's tackles and linemen.
I also want to shourt out about what he helped in the Chicago game too. The way he schemed to limit the damage of Cutler ... I'd not be surprised when Green Bay's Rogers coming to Buffalo, if we still have all the horses, we may also do a number on him.
Well, I said as soon as he was hired that Schwartz would have a GOOD Defense & be GREAT at stopping the run.
I told you all that Pettine would not be missed.
NO sitting on the fence or back tracking by me.
I was skeptical about how they would be good against the run because of our DEs on the right side but the scheme is solid and our interior is impressive. LBs are much better this year than last.

Imagine if we had Kiko...
Well, I also said Spikes was a GREAT signing & would really help the Bills run defense.

I think that you guys are being a bit premature in talking about the D. The first well balanced offense we face may be this Sunday.
Miami is nothing. Detroit had Bush who's a well below average RB and then a guy named George Winn who was an undrafted rookie free agent this year playing RB with Bell out and Bush having left. Calvin Johnson didn't play leaving only Tate and a bunch of nobodies. San Diego was without Matthews and Brown sucks. Some of their receivers were hobbled. Houston had Fitzpatrick and we lost to both those last two teams. We beat Chicago but only amid a Cutler meltdown. Forte was actually running pretty well it's just that they couldn't afford to run him anymore, they had to throw. Every team but Detroit who had no talent on the field had over 300 yards of offense, including Miami, and Chicago had well over 400.
We don't play many solid offenses this season and who knows what the Pats will bring in their two games. GB, Denver, and KC otherwise.
Let's see how Schwartz's D does against NE before annointing him great.

You shroud your childish approach in a vale of pompous, intellectual garbage in an attempt to look smart and "real". You over-analyze even minute points and manipulate statistics to fit your negative view of the team. Again, to feel good about yourself and to protect from getting hurt.
Of course, the criticisms are obviously from someone who has no understanding of the team concept or what it takes to excel at athletics.

"I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said Thursday on NFL Network's Total Access. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board."
"We are committed. I want you to believe me when I say that," Whaley said of building around the second-year quarterback, per The Buffalo News. "I always tell you guys that I'll never say never because I don't want to paint myself in a corner, but when I do say something, I do it and I mean it and I try to fulfill it."
"We believe the addition of Sammy is going to be instant impact, not only to our quarterback, but to what our offensive coordinator can come up with game-plan wise and how defenses attack us," Whaley said.
Whaley on EJ Manuel: "We think we got a gem in this guy." (2:30)

I anointed Schwartz GREAT when the Bills signed him.
No sitting on the fence or backtracking by me.
I expect Brady & the Pats* to put up some points against the Bills, but I expect the Bills defense to be BETTER than the Pats* Defense Sunday.
Re: I'm Loving The Schwartz - Bills Are #1 Against The Run
Just look at the facts when you post.
I mean seriously, are you really overly impressed that we managed to stop an offense featuring Tate, a WR that's averaged less than 600 yards in four prior seasons, Corey Fuller, a WR 6th round pick last season that didn't even catch 100 yards last year, and George Winn at RB, an undrafted rookie RB, as their primary "playmakers"?
That could very well be the sorriest collection of offensive talent that we play all season long. You cannot discuss this game as if Bell and Calvin Johnson were playing the whole time, neither did.
By the way, that was Tate's best game EVER.
I'm seeing massive overreaction to our defense this past game.
