Strange move, he was part of the Chandler Jones trade just a few months back and was a top 10 pick only a few years ago. He's healthy now, Id say it's worth a look.

Funny indeed. This story posted in the Boston Herald less than 24 hours ago:

And the Bills play the Pats again October 30th. Taking a look sounds like a good idea.

Then he'll have no problem fitting in on the Bill O-line.

I think before they start offering up plaudits to the o-line again due to # of rushing yards, try backing out all the QB yardage before you judge the line.

Because those yards don't count?

Are you baiting me? They only count if it's a called QB run. The scrambling yards, which are most for Taylor, shouldn't count toward judging the quality of the o-line. And he had/has a lot of broken play yardage.

Over 6 yards a carry for the RBs vs the Cards and around 4 vs the Pats. Not that I think the Bill O-line is great, but, they have done pretty good at run blocking the last 2 weeks under Lynn.

The Cards traded him for a pro bowl pass rusher, I wouldn't say they "gave up" on him any more than we "gave up" on Kiko Alonso. They threw him in to acquire a better, established player. Also, FWIW, how many teams gave up on Ritchie Incognito?

He young, he's cheap now without a top 10 pick contract, and I think he still has potential.

I cant imagine the Cards wouldn't file a claim.

Sometimes, a trade IS giving up on a player they know isn't very good. Does Kelvin Sheppard for Jerry Hughes ring a bell ? Incognito could play but had an incident. That's a terrible example of making your point, whatever it is.

The Pats, who are worshiped by many here, gave up on him. Speaks volumes.

Hughes came to a new situation, threw off the "bust" tag and thrived. Is that really the example you want to use?

Incognito was let go twice before his incident, including one by the Bills.

They end up with a 2nd also. Which they traded down and drafted starting LG Joe Thuney and back up WR Malcolm Mitchell. And with the Cap savings they sign Long and extended Hightower. So it wasn't a total waste.
