Vikings agree to terms with WR Robinson

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms Monday on a contract with free-agent wide receiver Marcus Robinson, whose career experienced a brief renaissance in Baltimore.

Robinson visited Vikings headquarters on Saturday, but he left without a deal. Monday's agreement, however, gave Minnesota a potential complement to Randy Moss that the team has been searching for since Cris Carter's retirement after the 2001 season.

Robinson, drafted by Chicago in the fourth round out of South Carolina in 1997, caught 84 passes for 1,400 yards and nine touchdowns for the Bears in 1999. His production declined after that, mostly due to injuries.

Well, that's one less possible WR for the Bills. Just saw it on NFL Total Access.

Yeah...no visits scheduled from the looks of things, either. I wonder why we hadn't heard his name really brought up.

A big WR like Marcus Robinson oppositing Moss. Wow suddenly Culpepper has more options than ever (other than when Carter was around).

Glad to hear that GB just got a bit more competition for their cake division.

I am not big on Robinson. He has been injury plagued it seems and I don't think he is nearly as fast as he used to be.

He got hurt at the beginning of training camp, and never played a down.
