Laurence Maroney, New England. Williams and Davis have a shot also.

Good pick Yard, I thought of Maroney, I think he's gonna get a LOT Of time in NE with Dillon back there.

Offensive rookie of the year: Joseph Addai, RB, Indianapolis (He can run, catch, and block well)

Defensive rookie of the year: Manny Lawson, LB, San Fransisco (Could be this year's Shawne Merriman)

Re: NFL ROOKIE of the Year

No way either Maroney OR Jackson get ROTY. Maroney will be splitting time with Dillon (who WILL become a cancer if he doesn't get the rock enough) and Jackson will be another in the long line of Florida WR busts I'm betting, and at least will have trouble picking-up the Patriots' offense as a rookie.

I agree on Addai and Hawk. The Colts will be featuring Addai and have the O-line and Hawk will be NEEDING to make a ton of tackles on the Packers' depleted defense.

I also wouldn't count out Micheal Huff either they had an interview with one of the raiders news people out there on NFL radio yesterday and she said he has looked fantastic.

Rod Woodson said on NFL Network a few days ago that he thought it would be Lendale White.

    Rod Woodson is a moron.

ya and he'll start from day one..
On paper, this looks like a really deep rookie class.

Seeing this Bunkley crap going on in Philly, I am SO glad we didnt take him.. and I was a fan of his pre-draft.

Homers for Whitner, Unite! Seriously, since we have a real need at SS, and arguably a perfect defensive system for his talents, why isn't it very possible?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Because he plays in Buffalo. Whitner could finish the year with slightly better stats than Huff but still lose defensive RoY to him because Huff plays for a higher profile tieam.

Don't believe me? Look how that punter from Oakland beats out Moorman for the Pro Bowl every year. Moorman is without a doubt the best punter in the league, but as long as he's on the Bills, no one will notice.

also, lack of a pass rush will make our secondary look a lot worse than it is.
