I wondered how long until someone would think that those numbers are higher than they really are. And you are right, he will either be your boss or a President of some company.

it only puts out the yearly salary. I bet his contract has a bunch of roster bonuses and incentives to make it worth the $24 million that was reported.

That's freaking nothing. Good signing Marv. "The most important free agents are your own" - The Marv.

Back heavy contract, doesn't work out cut him in a couple of years.

Wait. I thought they would only give bonuses that would count against THIS year's cap? I'm confused.

I hope some of you take back at least some of the bad things you've said about Marv.

We do tend to jump to conclusions on this board.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

no, thats his yearly salary. He must be getting a pretty good signing bonus to make his cap number about $6 or $7 million

    Probably a big roster bonus due between years three and four ($5-7 M) making the contract really a three year deal worth $12-14 M ($12-14 + $5-7 M + $5.4 M).

who said that the cap number was in that range? After seeing this it might be signifigantly lower than what John Clayton thinks it is

I've actually loved all the moves so far, except the Tim Anderson signing. The Shaud Williams signing bugs me a bit, but I'm sure he's getting pennies.

Surprisingly I've been pretty calm so far. Let's see how long that lasts.

1 Mil plus some of his signing bonus that's paid upfront and is counted against this years cap...

That's what I was thinking. He's basically getting about $3.5 to $4 million a year. Not bad at all, considering the fact that they kept him out of the market and he's a young DE that is improving each year.

John Clayton is a moron. I wouldn't be surprised if the cap number is only $5 million. That's actually pretty damn good. And I bet that Marv's Cash to Cap number is about $7 million.

LOL @ all the idiots ready to jump off a bridge over his resigning. IMO it was a good move to get him back. He wasnt really the weak link on the line. Tim Anderson on the other hand is a move I HATE! But he really isnt back in the fold and could still be gone.
