That was the biggest difference between tonights game and the 1st game...NOBODY HIT ANYBODY...we played soft. I don't care if a guy is a hitter or not, in the playoffs you have to throw the body around...PERIOD!

One thing tonight -- and this has been a problem all season -- is that the Islanders owned the front of our net. (both nets, actually, except for the tying goal) Miller had a lot of traffic in front of him on two goals.

Yep, the Sabres have to take care of this or it will kill them.Originally Posted by Philagape

Lets hope this was their wakeup call.
I don't see the Sabres playing with playoff desparation yet. That second goal should of never happend. Vanek should of went down to block the shot from the point.
I agree they are playing soft and trying to win by skill alone. To win the Stanley Cup you need skill AND heart and right now they are lacking heart.
We were outplayed.
Watching the game it appeared to me that the Islanders had more shots on goal than we did. i just looked at the stats and they had 32...we had 34. The Sabres looked lackluster last night.
ok,
You Mean, No Excuse as in:
A. An Islander Standing there..
Or
B. Miller Isnt Even Lookin at the puck ...
