Stroud's an injury risk, too; didn't stop the Bills from getting him. Like Stroud, Hackett is worth the risk.

Hackett's numbers in 07 were Pro Bowl pace, in his third year playing. He has way more upside than Stroud. And they should draft a WR early in any case.Originally Posted by Dr.Lecter
Hackett's as appealing as any veteran WR left, and they can make it a low-risk contract.
So this **** can come to an end.Originally Posted by FlyingDutchman
I just saw it on ESPN First Take... Bryant Johnson to San Francisco... 1 year deal.

Yes and I also heard in on WGR.
BERNIAC!
Sounds good to me. I think after this thing was so dragged out here, he couldn't have lived up to any of the hype it created anyway.
Really nothing on Sirius yet
Way more upside than a multi-time pro bowl DT? We will have to disagree on that one. I would think he would have more interest in him if he was that great.Originally Posted by Philagape
And I agree he is appealing as any veteran WR left. But that does not make him the answer. I will not be upset if they sign him, but also realize he is not a world beater.
Nothing on ESPN just watched all the bottom line on ESPN and ESPN 2
I hope AB gets pissed with AZ and comes to Buffalo.
Just saw it on the botton line on ESPN 2. Michael Smith reports 49'ers sign Bryant Johnson to 1 year contract.
I wanted him, but oh well. Next......as they say
Say hi to the new #2 receiver, same as the old #2 receiver, Josh Reed in 2008.
Hackett is a douche hasn't been able to stay ealthy long enough to do anything
lets go BUFFALO lets go BUFFALO
JOHNSON TO 49ERS REPORT MAKES SENSE: Hearing these reports about Bryant Johnson taking a one-year deal with the 49ers makes sense because I've learned that as of Thursday a one-year deal was all they were interested in. As I suspected yesterday, after seeing Justin McCareins and Drew Carter take one-year deals (Tennessee and Oakland) that Johnson in a lukewarm market would do the same. I'll have more on what went down with Johnson once I can confirm the 49ers report myself. ---
