I got the opportunity yesterday to do an interview with former Buffalo Bills great Darryl Talley. Darryl was one of mine, and depending on your age, probably one of your favorite Bills ever.
Here is the interview.. Hope you like it. INTERVIEW

OK was he wearing the spider man spandex when you interveiwed him?

Great article Pat... must have been fun to get to talk to Darryl. I really enjoyed reading that.
Thanks buddy

Great Job Pat!
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
Great interview!

Post his phone number, pat.
Great read Pat. I liked the HOF part the best. I was almost weepy when he said he grew up just a couple of hours from the Hall and all kids in east Cleveland want to end up there.
Go Figure...All-Pro linebacker owns a Traffic Control Company? Go Spidey!
Great Read!
Don't Mistake Lack Of Talent For Genius
excellent interview.... line him up outside
Darryl is the man, he was always just like one of us(except he was a kick ass football player) and definately the type of guy you would wanna have a beer with...or in the case of those 90's Bills 10 or 11
Thanks guys.
This is hopefully going to be a Thursday occurence, or at least once per month where I get to interview former greats. I got the contacts to make it happen, just comes down to how willing they are.
Darryl was awesome, and he sent me a tweet (twitter, whatever) thanking me for a good job and not turning any of his **** around.
ESPN picked this up in their AFC Daily links today. Way cool
