I will NEVER forget how stupid the guy was.....getting into a fight with the clock running against New England, forcing us to get 0 points at the end of the half. There is a reason he did nothing in the NFL.

So was I, not only was he stupid, so was Jauron for running on the last plays of the game, ok with being shutout at home and making NO effort to score!

Re: Former Bill - Duke Preston Retires

He was one of those players that was absolutely brutal to watch most times, but he stuck around due to injuries and poor personnel moves for way too long.

I think if he was drafted by pretty much any other team in the league, that he'd have stuck around for two, maybe three years tops and would have been gone.

I remember when we drafted him I thought, "Well, with a shoddy center I guess he'll be the one to fill in."

    I was sadly correct.

It shows how small the window for earning in the NFL can be.

Re: Former Bill - Duke Preston Retires

Physically, I think he was a solid back-up. Mentally, the dude was borderline ******ed, and it made him practically useless. The NE game is the obvious, memorable example, but the guy was constantly making mental mistakes on the field.
