Did Gailey really refer to it as 'not a short time thing' in his presser?

I think he referred to it as "he could be out for a while" thing. That's what I read on yahoo anyways.
“Not good. Not good,” said Gailey when asked about Edwards injury. ”It looks like we’ll lose him for a while.”

this is where Carrington has to step up and gain the experience he needs.
I thought Carrington played well today. I even say Maybin on the field, although that was chasing a one-legged Big Ben down after an 18 yard gain.
Carrington was decent yesterday considering his limited playing time this season. I'm anxious to see how he plays going forward. Troup made a few plays yesterday as well.Originally Posted by justasportsfan
I am glad to get the rookies out there in place of some of the vets. We need to see what they bring to the table.
Maybin put pressure on Ben the first play he was in there and drew the big holding penalty that negated a 20+ play by Hines Ward. We all know that Dwan Edwards can do, but I'm excited for the rookies to get valuable playing time. Maybin and Carrington, along with Moats, should be on the field at all times. This season is a wash, so they need to gain game experience.
At 1 time I saw Troup, Carrington, Moats, and Coleman on the field.Originally Posted by jamze132

Given the number of games left in the season, you could almost say Edwards is out for the season. Might as well let Carrington get the reps. This gives him a chance to be a factor next season.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
In today's Monday presser, Chan acknowledged that Carrington did some good things as a pass rusher (which he said he expected since he as a "pass rusher" in college) but still had a lot or work to put in on the run game and technique. Still, I believe he'll best learn in live fire. With Duan hurt, Carrington will get his reps going forward. He does seem big, and at times strong, but he also look raw. With that said, so far he looks promising based on his play the last two games.Originally Posted by TigerJ

Dwan is dwone for the season. Dwefinitely.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
