That depends on who you're comparing him to career wise...he's a very comparable player to John Abraham, Simeon Rice, Dwight Freeney, Julius Peppers...are any of those 4 guys HOF caliber players? If they are, so is Mario.
And if he ends up averaging 10 sacks per year over the next 4 seasons, including this one, he's gonna put up sack numbers that surpass Dent, Doleman, Taylor, Strahan.
I don't see how you say he's not, at a minimum, a HOF consideration player already right now and he should have at least another 5 productive seasons in him. Obviously he's not Reggie White nor Bruce Smith but being Jason Taylor isn't bad.

Mario Williams
Williams is best known as the guy the Houston Texans picked instead of Reggie Bush and the guy the Bills overpaid for. Williams at times is a dominant force in the league, but he is mostly a pure pass rusher who is sporadic at best. Williams is a very nice complementary player, but he isn’t a franchise piece. Williams signed a 6-year $100 million deal with the Bills… that’s Reggie White money folks. Williams is no Reggie White… he isn’t even a Michael Strahan and that contract is why he is on this list.

Has anyone ever answered my question ... With Mario's BIG salary, what has he done to GIVE BACK to the Buffalo Community???
I was banned for calling Yardie a coward, by DB, in a tread about women’s issues happening right now in America. Nothing better than republican men silencing women’s voices, especially in the Buffalo Spin zone!!
He's supposedly very private, so whatever he does doesn't hit the news. I do know that he spends a ton of time in hospitals with sick children. That's apparently his soft spot. My sister and my friend are both nurses and both said he frequently visits to bring gifts, play games, crafts, hang out, etc with the children. I don't know of anything beyond that though.
They had him playing in the interior. Rex even mentioned it. He was taking double teams, freeing up Hughes. Specifically mentions his role and how he doubted it showed in the stat sheet but was big.
