Risto's here for the long haul

The Sabres have signed D Rasmus Ristolainen to a 6 year contract.

Average yearly cap hit: $5.4 million.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.

David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.

Just for comparison purposes, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald just posted a link on his Twitter feed(to the website GeneralFanager.com )to show how Risto's deal compares with other D-men his age. Consider:

    Calgary's Dougie Hamilton(22): $5.75 M/year
    Columbus' Seth Jones(21): $5.4 M/year
    Toronto's Morgan Rielly(22): $5 M/year

That's a good deal. Now if Trouba would get his cry baby ass back to Winnipeg I would be happy.

Nice. They cut it a little close but I'm happy they got it done before he missed any games

Yeah me neither unfortunately. Cheveldayoff has shown if anything he is patient. Dec 1st is the real deadline. Not sure if he wants to miss a whole year.
