    Any thoughts on Ric Dennison?

Just like Jauron and Rex , McD will be dependent on his OC to know what they are doing .

Dennison who is pretty much a 1st time coordinator will be playing chess with BB.

Heres an article that doesn't sound positive

Bills Q&A: Break down of Bills offensive coordinator Rick Dennison from Denver
Q: Having mentioned Kubiak, he called the plays, so what did Dennison exactly do? And do you think he'd be a suitable play caller?

Honestly, that has been a running joke in Broncos Country this year; "What does Dennison do exactly?" This looks like his first chance to be a real offensive coordinator, so its hard to judge whether or not he'll succeed. The only hint we got at his role on the Broncos was in early 2015 when Kubiak revealed that he was comfortable with Dennison calling the plays, but that it was something he also preferred to do. In 2016, Kubiak revealed more when he said Dennison called the plays early and Kubiak would take over the playcalling as the game went on. If that is true, then that does not actually bode well for Dennison's ability to run an offense as the Broncos were dead last in points scored in the first quarter.

My thoughts are he's probably not going to look very good because Tyrod Taylor is his QB!

Did he call plays under Kubiak or was he an OC only by title?

Tyrod supposedly fits his scheme because they can run bootlegs or move him around which they couldn't do with Peyton.

It's irrelevant. If the Bills struggle this year, which they will, it will be blamed on the previous regime.

I'm feeling Dick Jauron 2.0 and not Andy Reid.

Re: Any thoughts on Ric Dennison?

I'm kind off iffy on Dennison and his staff, but Kubiak and his migraines left Dennison some empowerment in the schemes and Kubiak had some success against Belichick with Dennison right there. Dennison has had a front row seat for Belichick encounters.

I think the teams that have had success against the Pats, don't try and play chess with Bill, they take him away from his strengths to out think them and simply outplay him with solid mistake free football and competent defense to keep him overthinking and reaching for decisive action. Belichick craves those acts of supremacy and gets erratic if they are denied.

Is that Dennison and this squad ? Well, I don't think so, but nothing happened yet for me to say the potential isn't there. I still think Taylor is the weak link in the plan though.

Re: Any thoughts on Ric Dennison?

One of the things about Dennison's offensive system is how he likes to use zone blocking to run the football.

The Denver Broncos made zone blocking famous, and that's what the Bills offensive line is going to be running in 2017.

Here's a funny article about LeSean McCoy from 2013:

    http://gcobb.com/2013/08/06/lesean-m...n-his-backups/

"Eagles Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy is the starter and the best running back on the football team, but the running styles of Bryce Brown and Chris Polk fit the zone blocking running scheme better than McCoy’s style of carrying the football."

    Bryce Brown? Yeh....

McCoy only ran for 1,607 yards in 2013.

    http://www.nfl.com/player/leseanmcco...gs?season=2013

I can see why a zone blocking scheme would be a better fit for LeSean McCoy. It gives him more space to run in.

Taylor could be the weak link. All depends on his ability or inability to learn Dennison's West Coast system and its intricacies. That should all come out in training camp.

Some people are saying that Nathan Peterman is a perfect fit for Dennison's offense.

There's going to be a competition for the starting QB, but the Bills staff would never say that publicly.
