Just got back from the scrimmage, few things i noticed

heres a few things i noticed at the scrimmage

    D looks GOOOD!!

Coy Wire didnt suit up today. Im not sure why if he has a little injury or what

Ryan Denney played with the first unit and looked solid, he had a nice sack on Couch and had another coverage sack later on.

Ron Edwards played with the 2nd defensive unit which took on the Brown's 1st offense and looked really good. Did a good job of clogging the middle and stopping the run and i believe had a sack. He really suprised me today

You can tell the difference in London Fletcher. He has the talent around him this year and was able to do his job. He was roaming around the field and made some really great plays against the run.

Jeff Posey looks like the real deal. He was doing alot of blitzing and teamed up with London for some great plays against the run. It seemed like London and Posey were in the backfield for every run play.

The D was alot of fun to watch, especially their blitzing schemes. You saw Posey and Spikes both coming up to the line and blitzing.

The 1st offense looked good. They moved the ball efficiently against the Browns. Bledsoe had one int. It looked like Moulds and him had a miscommunication, Moulds ran an out and Bledsoe thought it was suppose to be a post. But i guess thats what the scrimmage is for. Reed had some nice catches today and I was supprised with Coleman. He had a really nice grab with 3 defenders around him.

All in all today just intensified my excitement for the upcoming season. From what i saw today, we are gonna be in for a fun season

Thanks for the report!! IMO, these kind of reports are 10X better than the homer reports we read in the papers or in the sporting mags.

    What's up with Posey?
I'm away from the snap to snap, but I haven't heard a bad word yet.
Is he the guy who feeds off the other talent and takes us over the top?

Yeah Posey is for real. There shouldnt be any worry aobut this guy. He put some legit pressure on the QB, and did a spectacular job against the run. I was really impressed.

I think you look far younger, and better, than he deserves, but if that's your view. OK.

Shaw looked pretty good today, Jett was in there but i dont think he had any catches or anything. I dont remember Aiken doing anything spectacular today. Jones played with the 3rd defensive unit. He played pretty well. He broke up a pass play and looked pretty good coming off the end. I believe the coaches are just taking it easy on him and want to limit his reps right now. Honestly though, I was so impressed with Ryan Denney today that i wasnt paying too much attention when Jones was in. He was quick off the corner and seemed to be right around the QB quite a bit.

No they didnt do any special teams work. All they did was bring in the fiel goal units to face eachother before the game. I think lindell missed one out of probably 10

Great report. I saw Edwards listed at 320, which is bigger than in the past. It'll be great if both he and Denney make major contributions this year.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I've been pulling for Denney since last season ended. I hope he can continue to build on this initial success this year.

My worry: The offense, unfortunately, appears to have picked up where it left off last year. I hear about a long pass to moulds that catches the defense napping. Then I hear about the INT in the Red Zone killing the drive. Just like last year. Score on the rare big play and later screw up an otherwise beautiful drive with a stupid forced pass in the Red Zone. For those who are about to jump to Drew's rescue, he clearly stated that he screwed up by forcing this throw. This MUST stop. Nothing takes the wind out the team's sails more than a wonderful drive ending with a TO in the Red Zone. Evidence? Well, the next series they went 3 and out this afternoon. I'm still worried.
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.

What he didn't post was the TD's the browns got against you..

Briefs: Browns' fans prefer backup QB

and when you finish reading about what the QB's did, scroll down to the end of the article and check out the Dolpins Titians scrimage..

I was hoping to get more details about your scrimage and this was more a homer type report, not trying to insult the poster, but you kind of want to know the whole story...somebody had to have a bad day, everything wasn't all roses for heaven's sake, this was the first scrimage, something needed improvement. BTW, the titians did score 1 TD on our 4th string.
