    Gonzalez hurts knee

Tony Gonzalez, Kansas City's four-time Pro Bowl tight end, injured his left knee during practice Tuesday when he was hit while reaching for a pass.
Coach Dick Vermeil said early indications were the injury did not threaten Gonzalez's season or career.

"I think it will be short term, but that's a first look," Vermeil said.

and to think someone from this site, was trying to convince to make a trade.... because "only one preseason game is left and starters rarely play more than a couple series".

Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez might be able to play in the Kansas City Chiefs' first game of the season after an MRI exam revealed no serious damage to his sprained left knee.

Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil told reporters there were "tiny" tears in the tendons, "the kind you don't repair and you let heal on their own."
