So in other words the tank is on. Jarrett Stidham is not an NFL starting QB, even if he's starting.

He's a very likable guy but that's just not enough .... he's failed with the opportunity he's been given.

He just signed an extension, I can't remember what they (I think it was Rapoport) said the cap hit would be... just that Carr doesn't have a lot of guaranteed money.

A team like the Jets or the Rams hell even the Dolphins might look his way

He's definitely done with the Raiders JMO.

Only 5 million in dead cap, but if he gets hurt, it triggers 40 million in bonuses over '23/24.

Carr isn't all that, but he's a serviceable qb. Better he gets away from McTitanic and the Raiders anyway.

He would be better off with a new location and there should be a few to choose from.

Re: Raiders to "evaluate" younger QB (Carr benched)

    Update:

A Derek Carr trade would be a delicate endeavor for the Raiders

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...r-the-raiders/

Yes, the late-season benching of Derek Carr is a clear signal that the Raiders are done with him. Now that it has happened, the question becomes how and when the two sides will consciously uncouple.

Many are assuming Carr will be traded. It’s not nearly that simple.

    As mentioned here,
once or twice, Carr has $40.4 million in injury guarantees that become full guarantees on the third day after the 2023 waiver period. By benching Carr, the Raiders are hoping to ensure that Carr will be able to pass a physical before the day the injury guarantees convert.

This could be more interesting than I thought, Total Access just said that Carr has a "No Trade" clause in his contract.

One way or another, he'll have his choice. They'll probably have to release him, and teams with an interest will know it. Raiders GM and HC already look bad, can't make them look much worse. Plus Davante Adams went there to play with Carr, so they likely just alienated their receiver gem too.

Kind of fun to watch McDaniels jump in and be McDaniels, with a schadenfreude kind of vibe for a former Pat who thinks too much of himself.

Another coach who owes his overrated reputation to Brady.

If they had any chance to beat KC McDaniels just threw it away. We need to win out.

It sounds like a bunch of them may try to get out....

My dark horse landing spot for Carr? The Steelers. Pickett ain't the guy.
