Touchdown tonight. Granted, it was against a bad team and is most likely too little too late, but you can’t change the past and you can only play the teams on the schedule.

They did what they were supposed to do and whooped a poor team at home.

They just crawled to within 5 points of the second wildcard team with that win (Detroit is that second wildcard team)

Admittedly the Sabres have been bad enough that I haven’t been watching the standings that much. For some reason, I thought Detroit was worse than they are.

I’m a team-centric sports fan. I always follow my teams, good or bad. When my teams are good and are actually affected by what other good teams do, I pay a lot more attention to the other teams. When my teams are bad and the good teams don’t really make a difference for them, I don’t pay attention except to hate-watch and hope their rivals lose in the playoffs.

So, yes, it was lost on me that Detroit has a decent squad this year.
