What the **** is he thinking????

Bills didn’t want Xavier…. But we crapped all over KCs day 2 picks

You're paranoid.
notacon (04-26-2024)
That was my worst case scenario.
IMO they kept trading down because they have three players (S Dejean, WR Mitchell, DT Newton) that kept dropping to them.
But Jesus Christ, anybody but KC.

I am done with this team until Beane and McDermott are gone. This is one of two trades that could not happen. This team obviously hates us and frankly I am done with them

I just don't see trading with KC and gifting a guy that could be their next Tyreek.
After sleeping on it, I would have rather sat on the pick and let the clock expire. Let the teams behind us jump into our time. Let KC squirm and maybe pay an even bigger price to someone else to get Worthy a couple of spots earlier.
The guys we have targeted would have still been there, just like today.
The trade with Carolina would have probably been there still, so we could have added draft value there.
The return from KC isn't really significant enough to justify a move that strengthens your biggest conference rival.
Beane absolutely needs to ace the rest of this draft in a way that gets Buffalo over the KC hump, because if this kid in KC is anything other than a bust the move is going to be another huge mistake hanging over this regime's head.

I mean, it depends how you look at it.
I think Worthy is a monumental Roscoe Parrish like bust, and would've screamed if the Bills took him.
He's not even in the same conversation as Hill, so stop saying he's the Chief's next Tyreek, just because he's small and fast. If every small and fast WR was Tyreek Hill, there'd be 100 of them in the NFL.
There's a reason there isn't.
They got a 3rd round pick for moving down 4 spots. They obviously have a target in mind, and obviously were 100% sure said target would be there at the top of round 2. Why not trade and get extra draft capital?
This is about making the Buffalo Bills the best team they can possibly make, not about making the Chiefs weaker.

I might feel that way if Diggs were still on the roster.
Unfortunately, we had a chance to fill a GAPING hole at WR, and wimped out.
I kinda wonder what Allen is thinking this morning.
Picture him hitting this kid in stride.
Instead, we let the fastest WR in the draft go to our chief competitor (literally).
Guy is 165 pounds. He won’t last 2 years
I don't see it. Just because he runs fast, doesn't make him good.
Have we learned nothing from picks like Roscoe, Marquise Goodwin? Remember Isaiah McKenzie (they didn't draft him, I know).
The only small WR that's ever had any type of real success in Buffalo in the past 20 years is Beasely, and his body got destroyed because they used him so much
Chiefs taking a chance because they can. They have the luxury. So they are going to see what they get with Worthy. Not a huge deal sorry. Worthy way overrated. Tons of 1sr rd talent left due to these dumb teams drafting mid range QBs. Totally hilarious

Not to change the subject, but I think it shows that most teams are of the same mind:
If you don't have a franchise quarterback, you're just fodder for the teams that do.
You can't even compete.
Now, I don't know if any of these guys are any good, but if you lack a lack a dominant QB, you gotta take your shot, right?
