If anyone goes i would say it's J-ville. When i lived in Savannah i had no problem getting tixs to a jags game. I mean they put tarp over and entire section because they never sell out. The first couple of years people were happy to have a NFL but the excitment has worn off. It's sad but Jacksonville is stuck in the college trifecta of UGA, UF and FSU. Plus you already have the Bucs and lolphins set up in the state. Plus the stadium does suck the only good seats are down in the first few rows everything is overpriced and getting to the stadium is a pain in the ass.

I agree with mike, what's even more sad about JAX is that they have a great HC and a playoff caliber team, yet they STILL don't sellout.

the bills are not leaving, weather we move to Niagara, or not now i dont know but we will stay in our area. we are the only team that plays in NY state and we sell out every home game and are always voted in the top of fan polls (and though erie county isnt rich by any means, they can keep the team if they really want to), the ONLY situation i see the bills moving is if they move to toronto (like the story said) but is that really moving?? i know some of you say yes it is!! but honestly it isnt really that far for some of us (who live or grew up in different parts of western NY) compared to where they already are, and what ever owner bought the team would undoubtably be willing to spend money on the team more than ralph is (or why would they by the team from him?) just a thought..

7 sections are tarped off on a regular basis actually... I have pictures of it from the Bills game this season. I easily bought two tickets on eBay under face value for the game.

Re: Odds Of Moving To LA...

There are several teams, including Jacksonville, St. Louis, Minnesota and Oakland, that should move before the Bills. But none of them have a 90 year old owner who has proclaimed publicly that the team will be sold to the highest bidder upon his demise.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

UNDER face value??? just to go to a f'in Cuse-Georgetown basketball game this year tix are double face value, at least. And thats college basketball! Football is supposed to be the most popular sport in the country, and they cant even sell tix?! Send them to LA, at least they'd fill the seats.

It seems like people in Florida are way more into their college football teams than they are the Jags.

Definitely... I know what you mean. Try getting tickets to a Duke game sometime. Generally speaking any big games go for at least 5x the face. UNC/Duke would run you about 20x.

I'm not sure anyone in California is going to lure an NFL franchise to their state. There is no way in hell they will get public funds for a stadium in that state right now.

But what about us who left WNY and drive or fly back to see a game or two a year. Anther hour or hour and a half added to a five hour drive from columbus is not something i wanna do. By the time i get to Buffalo i am ready to get out of the car. My back is screwed up as it is and anther hour or two just doesn't jive with me. Plus add in the fact that you have sit and wait to get into canada. Some people will have to get a passport it's a hassle and no matter what way you try to dress it up it's still moving.

Re: Odds Of Moving To LA...

Isn't San Diego most likely to move to LA, more than any of the other teams mentioned ? I keep seeing stories on NFL Network mentioning that but can't recall the details why.

Still, LA doesn't have an NFL ready stadium and nothing is getting done about it, especially in this economy. It's just baseless talk for now.

I'm sure the NFL really wants back in to the 1st or 2nd largest media market in the country. That LA doesn't have an NFL team is incongruous. I just hope the "sell to the highest bidder Bills" are not the team to fulfill the NFL's dream.

Re: Odds Of Moving To LA...

Screw L.A. I hope they don't get any team. Granted, if someone has to move it might as well be the Rams since they came from there originally.

After that I would say move the Jags for all the reasons mentioned above, plus the fact that they're a recent expansion team so they don't have much history, and a lot of their community is probably transplants with alliegances to other teams.

Re: Odds Of Moving To LA...

the reason there are no teams in LA, is because the people in LA didnt care about football, and were having the same problems the Jags are having... the only reason the raiders sold out its games is because alot of the fans continued to make the weekly trip to LA from Oakland (thats why Al Davis((another ancient owner)) moved them back to oakland)

Re: Odds Of Moving To LA...

I think it's only a matter of time before the Chargers are playing home games in Los Angeles. San Diego County and the Chargers seems worlds apart on a stadium deal. It's not really inconvenient for anyone to move a team from San Diego to LA for 8 games a season.

The Jags are the next likely team to move. They just don't have a market outside of Duval County. Miami and Tampa Bay are far more popular in Central Florida than the Jags.
