Schefter just reported that Reid didn't fly out to AZ last night as planned? Does this mean they're locking down Horton?

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
It's more indicative that Reid is going to KC. Mort said on ESPN radio that he expects Reid to go to KC. He said KC would be easier for Reid to have more control over everything because as he called it Arizona has more clutter in their organizational structure than KC does.

I also think Reid sees Geno Smith as his new Donovan McNabb.
It is definitely enticing to be able to have the #1 pick.
Andy Reid tells Chiefs he and Tom Heckert a package deal
Andy Reid has told the Kansas City Chiefs that he's a package deal with former Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported, citing a source with knowledge of Reid's pitch.
If Reid is hired and brings along Heckert as he hopes, it would almost certainly mean the end of current GM Scott Pioli's tenure with the Chiefs.
Reid and Heckert previously worked together with the Philadelphia Eagles.

One things for sure, he's not coming here. Doubt he even gets an interview.
Looks like Ried is going to KFC.
I feel bad for the Chiefs if they're getting Heckert.
So having just fired Romeo Crennel counts as satisfying the Rooney Rule?
sounds like Reid is a lock in KC, they aren't firing Pioli either... not sure how they're gonna work it out.
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!
pioli becomes a russ brandon type who moves into a CEO role, perhaps?
but i thought word on pioli is that he was also on the hot seat....guy is apparently a real cooky guy with all sorts of wierd protocols at the stadium/facilities.

They interviewed Keith Armstrong ST coach of Atlanta-Rooney Rule already satisfied-Reid can sign any time they agree.

The Rooney Rule is stupid.
Good...I hope he does get Smith off the board at #1.
