Can't hurt but I don't see this move as a difference maker.
Rather take a stab at a young former top 10 pick. That is a practice that should happen often.
Positive move sometimes a change of scenery is all that's needed.

You never know. Buffalo stuck with Tage Thompson when it started looking like he was possibly destined for bottom six or even AHL status.
Clearly, they like his skill set. Getting cut can be a wake up call if a player has been coasting a bit.
The Sabres are #30 in the penalty kill. Coach Granato said today that he plans on using Jost's skill set to help improve the penalty-killing unit.
Anything necessary to improve !!
Opens the eyes and acts as a warning that it's a what have you done for me lately world.
When given some ice time, he has played well. I see he's always out there for the penalty kill. Has speed and good puck skills.
