Agreed.
LT is the only RB I would have taken in the first.
Far to much talent.

Took a chance, could explode in my face, but if he gets me 15-20 TDS a year ove the next 5 years cant complain about payin $10 mil a year for that add in to that 30-35 TDs a year by Culpepper thats a team that will score a min of 315-385 pts a year or avg 19-24 pts per game based on a 16 game schedule with that asa base that is a pretty good start
I wonder how long Priest will last
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
The only 10 mil. dollar players I was considering were LT, 3 QBs and a D guy (all gone).
yeah not bad pics, it will be interesting to see your drafting the rest of the way. 20 Mil a year on those two alone is gonna be pricey.
I like the Culpepper pick. Big Willie style nah.
Well McGahee's salary grows every year by 1.5 mil I believe... that's eventually gonna be pretty hefty if he doesn't produce.Originally Posted by pmacla
Yeah culpepper was 4th on my board followed by McNabb
My #1 was LT, 2 Reed 3 Peppers. 4 Owens
10 Mil is the limit.Originally Posted by That Guy
well the after the 2nd/3rd rounds the true genius begins, by then most of the top tier talent is gone.
Oh.. I guess I gotta re-read the rules..Originally Posted by Devin
can always cut Mc Gahee loose but based on last years stats Willis had 13 TDS in what 11 games and LT had 18 TDS in 16 games not too much difference there in production not that I am saying Willis is better than LT at this point but remember this is all stat based
but think of it this way.
20 Mill in the first round. the 4th/5th rounds alone are like 27 mil combined. (assuming you skip 1 or both of the 2nd/3rd rounds) Thats 47 mil unless you choose 1 in the 2nd/3rd rounds. on 8 players. Thats a lot of cap money.
Not to mention you have 45 other players to sign.
I don't really think there is any kind of genius as far as player evaluating... all of the rankings you need are basically right in front of you. Being smart with your money is probably going to be the largest factor.
The McGahee pick isnt bad hes a great player, but currently he isnt worth 10 mil a season. All I am saying.
already traded away my 2nd so in essence i paid an extra $2.5 mill this year for mc gahee

That will be a large key. Because it isnt a 1 season thing, you have to think about the future. That being said rookie drafts are just as important.
All about planning.
I am confident that I can piece together some solid players late. I dont even need to look WR now until like the 30th round or so.
I think the key rounds will be 11-22 because at that point you are putting together the core of your team and replaceable parts
