Which means Houston paid a second rounder for a one year rental? Interesting.

    YUP.
He'll probably sign with Dallas to be with his brother next year.

In the end, Diggs didn't work out here. Blame goes to more than just Diggs but it was an unnecessary weight around the teams neck so it was time to move on. It's Allen's team now.

Not sure why Houston thinks the hassle is worth it. Especially with Stroud who makes that O already deadly.

The storyline for next year is set.

    AFC Championship game, Buffalo NY.

If Houston gets that far I don't see diggs being a big factor. I just don't see him ending well for them.

24.5 million or so for this 1 year rental. So next off season we have a second rounder and Houston has what… a fifth?

Yeah...cutting through the fluff....I still think it's incompetent that 8 years into McBeane and 7 years into having and elite qb we're still working on putting an ol in front of him, finding him receivers, and figuring he'll stay healthy being the fullback.

This is bad. Smells like failsauce to me.

Let's draft OL and DL only.

Ok maybe a corner or safety.

So there's a chance the Bills can resign him after this year?

He's going to prove his worth is what he said.

This should clear things up for all who still believe he's a #1.

    Bills hell no!

Good luck except when we play you.

Yeah but still, Diggs became an albatross around the team's and Allen's neck. There's no one who will get in the way of Allen's leadership now. It could be a good thing. We'll see.

That's little ruff I think. Imagine you are in, say more than half the league where you can say after 7 years they have not drafted an elite QB. Absolute failure. Don't you think getting an elite QB already makes you one of the better front office? Unfortunately we live in back to back dominating team era, Brady's NE to Mahomes' Chiefs. The comparison is to those two teams. I'm afraid it is going to be very difficult to be one of those teams. There are other elite QBs in Brady's era, and they only get to win once or twice. We might just be in those category.

    I disagree Mace.

It's the system we live in....free agency and all.

If you want to put blame on McD, at least be a bit more specific:

    1. He zeroes in on players and tries to force them to work until it's so blatantly obvious they don't have it. Nathan Peterman and Gabe Davis come to mind.

    2. He doesn't get rookies up to speed quick enough. (of course neither did Marv) and when they start to produce, they get their payday elsewhere.

    3. They've relied way too much on Allen's freakish size and skills.

    That being said....

They turned a laughingstock around in two years.

They finally found a competent quarterback.

They've won four straight division titles, and a lot of games. (13-2 against the fish alone!)

Keep in mind that there are 14 other teams unsuccessfully chasing Kansas City.

So it's not just us that are frustrated.

Bills fans have a very good team, just one that is not as good as Andy Reid's team. Can't get over that hump. Until Beane & McDermott prove they can do that people will feel that way.
